Bukhari Vol. 7 : No. 216

Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

Abul Qasim (the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam)) said, "There is an
hour (or a moment) of particular significance on Friday. If it happens that
a Muslim is offering a prayer and invoking Allah for some good at that very
moment, Allah will grant him his request." (The sub-narrator placed the top
of his finger on the palm of the other hand between the middle finger and
the little one.)

Hunting & Slaughtering

Narrated 'Adi bin Hatim (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

I asked Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) about the Mi'rad. He
said, "If you hit the game with its sharp edge, eat it, but if the Mi'rad
hits the game with its shaft or with a hit by its broad side do not eat it,
for it has been beaten to death with a piece of wood. (i.e. unlawful)."

I asked, "If I let loose my trained hound after a game?" He said, "If you
let loose your trained hound after game, and mention the name of Allah,
then you can eat." I said, "If the hound eats of the game?" He said "Then
you should not eat of it, for the hound has hunted the game for itself and
not for you." I said, "Sometimes I send my hound and then I find some other
hound with it?" He said "Don't eat the game, as you have mentioned the Name
of Allah on your dog only and not on the other."

Hadith Qudsi

Hadith Qudsi -3

On the authority of Zayd ibn Khalid al-Juhaniyy (may Allah be pleased with him), who said:
The Messenger of Allah (may the blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) led the morning prayer for us at al-Hudaybiyah following rainfall during the night. When the Prophet (may the blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) finished, he faced the people and said to them: “Do you know what your Lord has said?” They said: “Allah and his Messenger know best.” He said: “‘This morning one of my servants became a believer in Me and one a disbeliever. As for him who said: ‘We have been given rain by virtue of Allah and His mercy,’ that one is a believer in Me, a disbeliever in the stars (2); and as for him who said: ‘We have been given rain by such-and-such a star,’ that one is a disbeliever in Me, a believer in the stars.’”

(2) The pre-Islamic Arabs believed that rain was brought about by the movement of stars. This Hadith draws attention to the fact that whatever be the direct cause of such natural phenomena as rain, it is Allah the Almighty who is the Disposer of all things.
It is related by al-Bukhari (also by Malik and an-Nasa’i).

Bukhari Vol. 7 : No. 209

Narrated Nafi' (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

Whenever Ibn 'Umar was asked about marrying a Christian lady or a Jewess,
he would say: "Allah has made it unlawful for the believers to marry ladies
who ascribe partners in worship to Allah, and I do not know of a greater
thing, as regards to ascribing partners in worship to Allah, than a lady
who says that Jesus is her Lord although he is just one of Allah's slaves."

Virtues of the Qur'an

Narrated Sahl bin Sad (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

A lady came to the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) and declared that
she had decided to offer herself to Allah and His Apostle (Sallallahu
'Alaihi Wa Sallam). The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "I am
not in need of women." A man said to the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa
Sallam), "Please marry her to me." The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa
Sallam) said (to him), "Give her a garment." The man said, "I cannot afford
it." The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "Give her anything,
even if it were an iron ring." The man apologised again. The Prophet
(Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) then asked him, "What do you know by heart
of the Qur'an?" He replied, "I know such-and-such portion of the Qur'an (by
heart)." The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "Then I marry her
to you for that much of the Qur'an which you know by heart."
