“He who sends blessings


Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said, “He who sends blessings upon me once will have Allah send blessings upon him ten times.
[Sahih Muslim, Book 4, Number 808]
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ صَلَّى عَلَيَّ وَاحِدَةً صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ عَشْرًا

Narrated Aisha (Radi-Allahu 'anha):

A man said to the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam), "My mother died
suddenly and I thought that if she had lived she would have given alms. So,
if I give alms now on her behalf, will she get the reward?" The Prophet
(Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) replied in the affirmative.

“We do not see for those


Ibn Abbas reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said, “We do not see for those who love one another anything like marriage.

“Have you come


Wabisa ibn Ma’bad Al-Asadi reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said to him, “Have you come to ask about righteousness and sin?” I said, “Yes.” So he brought his fingers together and struck his chest three times, saying, “Consult your soul, consult your heart, O Wabisa. Righteousness is what is satisfying to your soul and your heart. Sin is what wavers in your soul and causes hesitancy in your chest, even if the people give you a judgment, and again give you a judgment.”
[Sunan Ad-Darimi, Book of Trade, Number 2533, Hasan]
عَنْ وَابِصَةَ بْنِ مَعْبَدٍ الْأَسَدِيِّ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِوَابِصَةَ جِئْتَ تَسْأَلُ عَنْ الْبِرِّ وَالْإِثْمِ قَالَ قُلْتُ نَعَمْ قَالَ فَجَمَعَ أَصَابِعَهُ فَضَرَبَ بِهَا صَدْرَهُ وَقَالَ اسْتَفْتِ نَفْسَكَ اسْتَفْتِ قَلْبَكَ يَا وَابِصَةُ ثَلَاثًا الْبِرُّ مَا اطْمَأَنَّتْ إِلَيْهِ النَّفْسُ وَاطْمَأَنَّ إِلَيْهِ الْقَلْبُ وَالْإِثْمُ مَا حَاكَ فِي النَّفْسِ وَتَرَدَّدَ فِي الصَّدْرِ وَإِنْ أَفْتَاكَ النَّاسُ وَأَفْتَوْكَ
سنن الدارمي  كِتَابِ الْبُيُوعِ  جئت تسأل عن البر والإثم
 

Bukhari Vol. 2 : No. 490

Narrated Ibn Masud (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

I heard the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) saying, "There is no
envy except in two: a person whom Allah has given wealth and he spends it
in the right way, and a person whom Allah has given wisdom (i.e. religious
knowledge) and he gives his decisions accordingly and teaches it to the
others."

Indeed


Usaid ibn Hudair reported: A man from the Ansar took the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, aside and said, “Will you not appoint me governor as you have appointed so-and-so?” He said, “Indeed, you will come across favoritism after me, so you should be patient until you meet me at the fountain.
[Sahih Muslim, Book 20, Number 4549]
عَنْ أُسَيْدِ بْنِ حُضَيْرٍ  أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ خَلَا بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ أَلَا تَسْتَعْمِلُنِي كَمَا اسْتَعْمَلْتَ فُلَانًا فَقَالَ إِنَّكُمْ سَتَلْقَوْنَ بَعْدِي أَثَرَةً فَاصْبِرُوا حَتَّى تَلْقَوْنِي عَلَى الْحَوْضِ
صحيح مسلم  كِتَاب الْإِمَارَةِ  بَاب الْأَمْرِ بِالصَّبْرِ عِنْدَ ظُلْمِ الْوُلَاةِ وَاسْتِئْثَارِهِمْ

“Indeed, after me there


Abdullah ibn Mas’ud reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said, “Indeed, after me there will be favoritism and many things you will reject.” They said, “O Messenger of Allah, what do you order us to do if we live during that?” He said, “Discharge your responsibilities and ask Allah for your rights.”
[Sahih Muslim, Book 20, Number 4545]
عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ  قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّهَا سَتَكُونُ بَعْدِي أَثَرَةٌ وَأُمُورٌ تُنْكِرُونَهَاقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَيْفَ تَأْمُرُ مَنْ أَدْرَكَ مِنَّا ذَلِكَ قَالَ تُؤَدُّونَ الْحَقَّ الَّذِي عَلَيْكُمْ وَتَسْأَلُونَ اللَّهَ الَّذِي لَكُمْ
صحيح مسلم  كِتَاب الْإِمَارَةِ  كانت بنو إسرائيل تسوسهم الأنبياء كلما هلك نبي خلفه نبي وإنه لا نبي بعدي وستكون خلفاء

Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "Every day two angels come
down from Heaven and one of them says, 'O Allah! Compensate every person
who spends in Your Cause,' and the other (angel) says, 'O Allah! Destroy
every miser.' "

“There are certainly people who


Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said, “There are certainly people who brag about their ancestors who have died. Verily, they are coal for Hellfire such that they are more contemptible to Allah than the beetle that rolls dung with its nose. Indeed, Allah has removed from you the pride of the time of ignorance with its boasting about ancestors. Verily, either one is a believer who fears Allah or a miserable sinner. The people are all the Children of Adam, and Adam was created from dust.

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَيَنْتَهِيَنَّ أَقْوَامٌ يَفْتَخِرُونَ بِآبَائِهِمْ الَّذِينَ مَاتُوا إِنَّمَا هُمْ فَحْمُ جَهَنَّمَ أَوْ لَيَكُونُنَّ أَهْوَنَ عَلَى اللَّهِ مِنْ الْجُعَلِ الَّذِي يُدَهْدِهُ الْخِرَاءَ بِأَنْفِهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ أَذْهَبَ عَنْكُمْ عُبِّيَّةَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ وَفَخْرَهَا بِالْآبَاءِ إِنَّمَا هُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ تَقِيٌّ وَفَاجِرٌ شَقِيٌّ النَّاسُ كُلُّهُمْ بَنُو آدَمَ وَآدَمُ خُلِقَ مِنْ تُرَابٍ

Bukhari Vol. 2 : No. 524

Narrated Abu Burda (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

From his father from his grandfather that the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi
Wa Sallam) said, "Every Muslim has to give in charity." The people asked,
"O Allah's Prophet! If someone has nothing to give, what will he do?" He
said, "He should work with his hands and benefit himself and also give in
charity (from what he earns)." The people further asked, "If he cannot find
even that?" He replied, "He should help the needy who appeal for help."
Then the people asked, "If he cannot do that?" He replied, "Then he should
perform good deeds and keep away from evil deeds and this will be
regardedas charitable deeds."

“Indeed, my nation will not


Anas ibn Malik reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, saying, “Indeed, my nation will not agree upon misguidance, so if you see differences then follow the greatest majority.”
[Sunan Ibn Majah, Book of Trials, Number 3950, Da’eef]
أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ أُمَّتِي لَا تَجْتَمِعُ عَلَى ضَلَالَةٍ فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمْ اخْتِلَافًا فَعَلَيْكُمْ بِالسَّوَادِ الْأَعْظَمِ
سنن ابن ماجه  كِتَاب الْفِتَنِ  إن أمتي لا تجتمع على ضلالة فإذا رأيتم اختلافا فعليكم بالسواد الأعظم

Zakat - 17th Sha'aban 1433 (7th July 2012)

Narrated Anas (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

Abu Bakr wrote to me what Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam)
has made compulsory (regarding Zakat) and this was mentioned in it: If a
property is equally owned by two partners, they should pay the combined
Zakat and it will be considered that both of them have paid their Zakat
equally.

Narrated Abu Dhar (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

Once I went to him (the Prophet) (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) and he
said, "By Allah in Whose Hands my life is (or probably said, 'By Allah,
except Whom none has the right to be worshipped) whoever had camels or cows
or sheep and did not pay their Zakat, those animals will be brought on the
Day of Resurrection far bigger and fatter than before and they will tread
him under their hooves, and will butt him with their horns, and (those
animals will come in circle): When the last does its turn, the first will
start again, and this punishment will go on till Allah has finished the
judgments amongst the people."

Indeed, Allah has made


Abu Tha’laba Al-Khushani reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said, “Indeed, Allah has made duties obligatory, so do not neglect them; and He has set limits, so do not transgress them; and He has remained silent concerning things as mercy for you, not out of forgetfulness, so do not search them out.

عَنْ أَبِي ثَعْلَبَةَ الْخُشَنِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ فَرَضَ فَرَائِضَ فَلَا تُضَيِّعُوهَا وَحَدَّ حُدُودًا فَلَا تَعْتَدُوهَا وَحَرَّمَ أَشْيَاءَ فَلَا تَنْتَهِكُوهَا وَسَكَتَ عَنْ أَشْيَاءَ رَحْمَةً لَكُمْ غَيْرَ نِسْيَانٍ فَلَا تَبْحَثُوا عَنْهَا
حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ ، رَوَاهُ الدَّارَقُطْنِيُّ وَغَيْرُهُ
