Bukhari Vol. 6 : No. 535

Narrated 'Aisha (Radi-Allahu 'anha):

Whenever Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) became sick, he
would recite Mu'awwidhat (Surat Al-Falaq and Surat An-Nas) and then blow
his breath over his body. When he became seriously ill, I used to recite
(these two Suras) and rub his hands over his body hoping for its blessings.

Virtues of the Qur'an

Narrated Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "The example of him (a
believer) who recites the Qur'an is like that of a citron which tastes good
and smells good. And he (a believer) who does not recite the Qur'an is like
a date which is good in taste but has no smell. And the example of a
dissolute wicked person who recites the Qur'an is like the Raihana (sweet
basil) which smells good but tastes bitter. And the example of a dissolute
wicked person who does not recite the Qur'an is like the colocynth which
tastes bitter and has no smell."

Bukhari Vol. 6 : No. 538

Bukhari Vol. 6 : No. 574

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said to me, "Recite the
whole Qur'an in one month's time." I said, "But I have power (to do more
than that)." Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "Then
finish the recitation of the Qur'an in seven days, and do not finish it in
less than this period."

Narrated Abdullah (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "It is a bad thing that
some of you say, 'I have forgotten such-and-such verse of the Qur'an,' for
indeed, he has been caused (by Allah) to forget it. So you must keep on
reciting the Qur'an because it escapes from the hearts of men faster than
camel do."

Bukhari Vol. 7 : No. 4

Narrated 'Abdullah (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

We were with the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) while we were young
and had no wealth whatever. So Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa
Sallam) said, "O young people! Whoever among you can marry, should marry,
because it helps him lower his gaze and guard his modesty (i.e. his private
parts from committing illegal sexual intercourse etc.), and whoever is not
able to marry, should fast, as fasting diminishes his sexual power."

Bukhari Vol. 7 : No. 73

Narrated Ibn 'Umar (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) decreed that one should not try
to cancel a bargain already agreed upon between some other persons (by
offering a bigger price). And a man should not ask for the hand of a girl
who is already engaged to his Muslim brother, unless the first suitor gives
her up, or allows him to ask for her hand.
