Indeed, a person may finish

Amir ibn Yasir رضى الله عنه reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم saying, “Indeed, a person may finish (the prayer) and nothing is recorded for him except a tenth, or a ninth, or an eighth, or a seventh, or a sixth, or a fifth, or a fourth, or a third, or a half.”

[Sunan Abu Dawud, Book 2, Number 796, Grade: Hasan]

عَمَّارِ بْنِ يَاسِرٍ قَالَ  سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَنْصَرِفُ وَمَا كُتِبَ لَهُ إِلَّا عُشْرُ صَلَاتِهِ تُسْعُهَا ثُمْنُهَا سُبْعُهَا سُدْسُهَا خُمْسُهَا رُبْعُهَا ثُلُثُهَا نِصْفُهَا

Bukhari Vol. 1 : No. 8

Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "Faith (Belief) consists
of more than sixty branches (i.e. parts). And Haya (This term "Haya" covers
a large number of concepts which are to be taken together; amongst them are
self respect, modesty, bashfulness, and scruple, etc.) is a part of faith."

2:101

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

وَلَمَّا جَاءَهُمْ رَسُولٌ مِّنْ عِندِ اللَّهِ مُصَدِّقٌ لِّمَا مَعَهُمْ نَبَذَ فَرِيقٌ مِّنَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ وَرَاءَ ظُهُورِهِمْ كَأَنَّهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

2:101

And when there came to them a messenger from Allah, confirming what was with them, a party of the people of the Book threw away the Book of Allah behind their backs, as if (it had been something) they did not know!

اور جب ان کے پاس الله کی طرف سے پیغمبر (آخرالزماں) آئے، اور وہ ان کی (آسمانی) کتاب کی بھی تصدیق کرتے ہیں تو جن لوگوں کو کتاب دی گئی تھی، ان میں سے ایک جماعت نے خدا کی کتاب کو پیٹھ پیچھے پھینک دیا، گویا وہ جانتے ہی نہیں

Dan setelah datang kepada mereka seorang Rasul dari sisi Allah yang membenarkan apa (kitab) yang ada pada mereka, sebahagian dari orang-orang yang diberi kitab (Taurat) melemparkan kitab Allah ke belakang (punggung)nya, seolah-olah mereka tidak mengetahui (bahwa itu adalah kitab Allah).

যখন তাদের কাছে আল্লাহর পক্ষ থেকে একজন রসূল আগমন করলেন-যিনি ঐ কিতাবের সত্যায়ন করেন, যা তাদের কাছে রয়েছে, তখন আহলে কেতাবদের একদল আল্লাহর গ্রন্থকে পশ্চাতে নিক্ষেপ করল-যেন তারা জানেই না।

و هنگامی که فرستاده‌ای از سوی خدا به سراغشان آمد، و با نشانه‌هایی که نزد آنها بود مطابقت داشت، جمعی از آنان که به آنها کتاب (آسمانی) داده شده بود ، کتاب خدا را پشت سر افکندند؛ گویی هیچ از آن خبر ندارند!!

2:100

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

أَوَكُلَّمَا عَاهَدُوا عَهْدًا نَّبَذَهُ فَرِيقٌ مِّنْهُم ۚ بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ

2:100

Is it not (the case) that every time they make a covenant, some party among them throw it aside?- Nay, Most of them are faithless.

ان لوگوں نے جب (خدا سے) عہد واثق کیا تو ان میں سے ایک فریق نے اس کو (کسی چیز کی طرح) پھینک دیا۔ حقیقت یہ ہے کہ ان میں اکثر بے ایمان ہیں

Patutkah (mereka ingkar kepada ayat-ayat Allah), dan setiap kali mereka mengikat janji, segolongan mereka melemparkannya? Bahkan sebagian besar dari mereka tidak beriman.

কি আশ্চর্য, যখন তারা কোন অঙ্গীকারে আবদ্ধ হয়, তখন তাদের একদল তা ছুঁড়ে ফেলে, বরং অধিকাংশই বিশ্বাস করে না।

و آیا چنین نیست که هر بار آنها [=یهود] پیمانی (با خدا و پیامبر)بستند، جمعی آن را دور افکندند (و مخالفت کردند.) آری، بیشتر آنان ایمان نمی‌آورند.

What is the matter with some people who say such-and-such?

Aisha رضي الله عنها reported: If the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم heard something about a man, he would not say, “What is the matter with so-and-so that he says such-and-such,” rather he would say, “What is the matter with some people who say such-and-such?”

[Sunan Abu Dawud, Book 40, Number 4788]

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، رضى الله عنها قَالَتْ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِذَا بَلَغَهُ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ الشَّىْءُ لَمْ يَقُلْ مَا بَالُ فُلاَنٍ يَقُولُ وَلَكِنْ يَقُولُ‏ مَا بَالُ أَقْوَامٍ يَقُولُونَ كَذَا وَكَذَا

Do not say

Abu Al-Malih رضى الله عنه reported: A man said, “I was riding on a mount behind the Prophet and it stumbled, so I said: May Satan perish!” Then he صلى الله عليه وسلم said, “Do not say: May Satan perish, for indeed if you say that he will swell up (with pride) until he is like a house, and he says: By my power! Rather, say: In the name of Allah, for indeed if you say that he will shrink until he is like a fly.”
[Sunan Abu Dawud, Book 41, Number 4982]
Book of Manners, Chapter: Do not say, “My filthy soul!”

عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ عَنْ رَجُلٍ قَالَ  كُنْتُ رَدِيفَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَعَثَرَتْ دَابَّةٌ فَقُلْتُ تَعِسَ الشَّيْطَانُ فَقَالَ لَا تَقُلْ تَعِسَ الشَّيْطَانُ فَإِنَّكَ إِذَا قُلْتَ ذَلِكَ تَعَاظَمَ حَتَّى يَكُونَ مِثْلَ الْبَيْتِ وَيَقُولُ بِقُوَّتِي وَلَكِنْ قُلْ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ فَإِنَّكَ إِذَا قُلْتَ ذَلِكَ تَصَاغَرَ حَتَّى يَكُونَ مِثْلَ الذُّبَابِ

2:99

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

وَلَقَدْ أَنزَلْنَا إِلَيْكَ آيَاتٍ بَيِّنَاتٍ ۖ وَمَا يَكْفُرُ بِهَا إِلَّا الْفَاسِقُونَ

2:99

We have sent down to thee Manifest Signs (ayat); and none reject them but those who are perverse.

اور ہم نے تمہارے پاس سلجھی ہوئی آیتیں ارسال فرمائی ہیں، اور ان سے انکار وہی کرتے ہیں جو بدکار ہیں

Dan sesungguhnya Kami telah menurunkan kepadamu ayat-ayat yang jelas; dan tak ada yang ingkar kepadanya, melainkan orang-orang yang fasik.

আমি আপনার প্রতি উজ্জ্বল নিদর্শনসমূহ অবতীর্ণ করেছি। অবাধ্যরা ব্যতীত কেউ এগুলো অস্বীকার করে না।

ما نشانه‌های روشنی برای تو فرستادیم؛ و جز فاسقان کسی به آنها کفر نمی‌ورزد.

Richness is not

Abu Huraira reported: The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, “Richness is not having many possessions. Rather, true richness is the richness of the soul.”

[Sahih Bukhari, Volume 8, Book 76, Number 453]

Book of Heart Softeners, Chapter: Richness is Richness of the Soul

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ لَيْسَ الْغِنَى عَنْ كَثْرَةِ الْعَرَضِ، وَلَكِنَّ الْغِنَى غِنَى النَّفْسِ

Uff

Anas رضى الله عنه said: I served the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم for ten years. By Allah, he never even said to me “Uff!” and he never said (harshly) for anything, “Why did you do that?” or “Why did you not do that?”

[Sahih Muslim, Book 030, Number 5720]

 عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ خَدَمْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَشْرَ سِنِينَ وَاللَّهِ مَا قَالَ لِي أُفًّا قَطُّ وَلاَ قَالَ لِي لِشَىْءٍ لِمَ فَعَلْتَ كَذَا وَهَلاَّ فَعَلْتَ كَذَا

2:98

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

مَن كَانَ عَدُوًّا لِّلَّهِ وَمَلَائِكَتِهِ وَرُسُلِهِ وَجِبْرِيلَ وَمِيكَالَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَدُوٌّ لِّلْكَافِرِينَ

2:98

Whoever is an enemy to Allah and His angels and messengers, to Gabriel and Michael,- Lo! Allah is an enemy to those who reject Faith.

جو شخص خدا کا اور اس کے فرشتوں کا اور اس کے پیغمبروں کا اور جبرئیل اور میکائیل کا دشمن ہو تو ایسے کافروں کا خدا دشمن ہے

Barang siapa yang menjadi musuh Allah, malaikat-malaikat-Nya, rasul-rasul-Nya, Jibril dan Mikail, maka sesungguhnya Allah adalah musuh orang-orang kafir.

যে ব্যক্তি আল্লাহ তাঁর ফেরেশতা ও রসূলগণ এবং জিবরাঈল ও মিকাঈলের শত্রু হয়, নিশ্চিতই আল্লাহ সেসব কাফেরের শত্রু।

کسی که دشمن خدا و فرشتگان و رسولان او و جبرئیل و میکائیل باشد (کافر است؛ و) خداوند دشمن کافران است.

Today there is no emigration

Ata bin Abi Rabah رضى الله عنه reported: Ubaid bin Umar Al-Laithi and I visited Aisha رضي الله عنها and asked her about theHijrah (emigration). She said, “Today there is no emigration. A believer used to run away with his religion to Allah and His Messenger, fearing persecution in religion. Today Allah has made Islam manifest, and today a believer can worship his Lord wherever he likes. Rather, (taking the place of emigration is) struggling for the sake of Allah and good intentions.”

[Sahih Bukhari, Volume 5, Book 58, Number 240]

عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ قَالَ زُرْتُ عَائِشَةَ مَعَ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ اللَّيْثِيِّ فَسَأَلْنَاهَا عَنِ الْهِجْرَةِ فَقَالَتْ لاَ هِجْرَةَ الْيَوْمَ، كَانَ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ يَفِرُّ أَحَدُهُمْ بِدِينِهِ إِلَى اللَّهِ تَعَالَى وَإِلَى رَسُولِهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَخَافَةَ أَنْ يُفْتَنَ عَلَيْهِ، فَأَمَّا الْيَوْمَ فَقَدْ أَظْهَرَ اللَّهُ الإِسْلاَمَ، وَالْيَوْمَ يَعْبُدُ رَبَّهُ حَيْثُ شَاءَ، وَلَكِنْ جِهَادٌ وَنِيَّةٌ

 Abu Said رضى الله عنه reported: A bedouin came to the Prophet and asked him about emigration. The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, “Woe to you! The matter of emigration is difficult. Have you got some camels?” He said, “Yes.” The Prophet said, “Do you pay its charity?” He replied “Yes.” The Prophet said, “Do you let them be used by others?” He replied, “Yes.” The Prophet said, “Do you milk them on the proper day?” He replied, “Yes.” The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, “Then do good deeds beyond the sea. Indeed, Allah will never disregard any of your deeds.”

[Sahih Bukhari, Volume 3, Book 47, Number 801]

حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ جَاءَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَسَأَلَهُ عَنِ الْهِجْرَةِ، فَقَالَ‏ وَيْحَكَ إِنَّ الْهِجْرَةَ شَأْنُهَا شَدِيدٌ فَهَلْ لَكَ مِنْ إِبِلٍ قَالَ نَعَمْ‏.‏ قَالَ فَتُعْطِي صَدَقَتَهَا قَالَ نَعَمْ‏.‏ قَالَفَهَلْ تَمْنَحُ مِنْهَا شَيْئًا ‏ قَالَ نَعَمْ‏.‏ قَالَ فَتَحْلُبُهَا يَوْمَ وِرْدِهَا ‏ قَالَ نَعَمْ‏.‏ قَالَ  فَاعْمَلْ مِنْ وَرَاءِ الْبِحَارِ، فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَنْ يَتِرَكَ مِنْ عَمَلِكَ شَيْئًا
