To Make The Heart Tender

Narrated 'Aisha (Radi-Allahu 'anha):

Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "Do good deeds
properly, sincerely and moderately and know that your deeds alone will not
make you enter Paradise, and that the most beloved deed to Allah is the
most regular and constant even though it were little."

All thanks is to Allah, whom we seek His help and forgivness. We seek refuge in Allah from whatever evil our hearts conceal and from the consequences of our evil deeds. Whoever Allah grants guidance will never be led astray. Whoever He leads astray will never find guidance. I attest that none is worthy of worship except Allah, who has no partners, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
O you who have believed, fear Allah as He should be feared and do not die except as Muslims [in submission to Him].
[Surah Ali Imran 3:102]
O mankind, fear your Lord, who created you from one soul and created from it its mate and dispersed from both of them many men and women. And fear Allah , through whom you ask one another, and the wombs. Indeed Allah is ever, over you, an Observer.
[Surah An-Nisa 4:1]
O you who have believed, fear Allah and speak words of appropriate justice. He will [then] amend for you your deeds and forgive you your sins. And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly attained a great attainment.
[Surah Al-Ahzab 33:70-71]
Indeed, the most truthful speech is the Book of Allah, the best guidance is the guidance of Muhammad, and the worst affairs are newly invented matters. Every newly invented matter is a religious innovation, and every religious innovation is misguidance, and every misguidance is in the Hellfire.

Two phrases

Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه reported: The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, “Two phrases are beloved to the Most Merciful. They are light on the tongue but heavy on the scale: ‘Glory and praise to Allah (subhan Allah wa bi hamdi)’ and ‘Glory to Allah the Almighty (subhan Allah Al-Athīm).’”
[Sahih Bukhari, Volume 9, Book 93, Number 652]

half of faith

Abu Malik Al-Ashari رضي الله عنه reported: The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said, “Purification is half of faith. The praise of Allah fills the balance. Saying ‘Glorified be Allah and praise be to Allah’ (subhan Allah wa al-hamdulillah) fills what is between the heavens and the Earth. Prayer is light. Charity is proof of faith. Patience is illumination. The Qur’an is a proof both for you and against you. Each one of us goes forth in the morning as a vendor for his soul. He either achieves its emancipation or brings it to ruin.”
[Sahih Muslim, Book 002, Number 0432]

To Make The Heart Tender

Narrated Mus'ab (Radi-Allahu 'anhum):

Sa'd used to recommend five (statements) and mentioned that the Prophet
(Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) used to recommend them. (They were) "O
Allah! I seek refuge with You from miserliness; and seek refuge with You
from cowardice; and seek refuge with You from being sent back to geriatric
old age; and I seek refuge with You from the affliction of this world (i.e.
the affliction of Ad-Dajjal etc.); and seek refuge with You from the
punishment of the grave."

To Make The Heart Tender

Narrated Anas bin Malik (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

Once Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) led us in prayer and
then (after finishing it) ascended the pulpit and pointed with his hand
towards the Qibla of the mosque and said, "While I was leading you in
prayer, both Paradise and Hell were displayed in front of me in the
direction of this wall. I had never seen a better thing (than Paradise) and
a worse thing (than Hell) as I have seen today, I had never seen a better
thing and a worse thing as I have seen today."
