Good Manners

Narrated by Anas (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

I served the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) for ten years, and he
never said to me, "Uf" (a minor harsh word denoting impatience) and never
blamed me by saying, "Why did you do so or why didn't you do so?"

Good Manners

Narrated by Thabit bin Ad-Dahhak (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

(who was one of the companions who gave the pledge of allegiance to the
Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) underneath the tree (Al-Hudaibiya))

Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "Whoever swears by a
religion other than Islam (i.e. if somebody swears by saying that he is a
non-Muslim e.g., a Jew or a Christian, etc.), if his oath is false, he is
really so. And a person is not bound to fulfill a vow about a thing which
he does not possess. And if somebody commits suicide with anything in this
world, he will be tortured with that very thing on the Day of Resurrection;
And if somebody curses a believer, then his sin will be as if he murdered
him; And whoever accuses a believer of Kufr (disbelief), then it is as if
he killed him."

Good Manners

Narrated by Abu Musa (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) heard a man praising another man
and he was exaggerating in his praise. The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa
Sallam) said (to him). "You have destroyed (or cut) the back of the man."

Good Manners

Narrated by Anas bin Malik (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) was not one who would abuse
(others) or say obscene words, or curse (others), and if he wanted to
admonish anyone of us, he used to say: "What is wrong with him, his
forehead be dusted!"

Good Manners

Narrated by Abu Dhar (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

That he heard the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) saying, "If
somebody accuses another of Fusuq (by calling him 'Fasiq' i.e. a wicked
person) or accuses him of Kufr, such an accusation will revert to him (i.e.
the accuser) if his companion (the accused) is innocent."

I am near to the

Abu Huraira () reported: Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said that Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, said: “I am near to the thought of My servant as he thinks about Me, and I am with him as he remembers Me. And if he remembers Me in his heart, I also remember him in My Heart, and if he remembers Me in assembly I remember him in assembly, better than his (remembrance), and if he draws near Me by the span of a palm, I draw near him by the cubit, and if he draws near Me by the cubit I draw near him by the space (covered by) two hands. And if he walks towards Me, I rush towards him.
[Sahih Muslim, Book 035, Number 6471]

Good Manners

Narrated by Anas bin Malik (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "None will have the
sweetness (delight) of Faith (a) till he loves a person and loves him only
for Allah's sake, (b) and till it becomes dearer to him to be thrown in the
fire than to revert to disbelief (Heathenism) after Allah has brought him
out of it, (c) and till Allah and His Apostle become dearer to him than
anything else."
