To Make The Heart Tender

Narrated 'Imran bin Husain (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "I looked into Paradise
and found that the majority of its dwellers were the poor people, and I

blessed are the strangers

Abullah ibn Amar ibn Al-‘As رضي الله عنه narrated: The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said, “One day, and we are here, blessed are the strangers.” It was said, “O Messenger of Allah, who are the strangers?” He said, “Righteous people amidst many evil people who disobey the righteous more than they obey them.”
[Musnad Ahmad, Number 6612, Narrations of Abullah ibn Amar ibn Al-‘As (مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ)]

To Make The Heart Tender

Narrated Hakim bin Hizam (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

I asked the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) (for some money) and he
gave me, and then again I asked him and he gave me, and then again I asked
him and he gave me and he then said, "This wealth is (like) green and sweet
(fruit), and whoever takes it without greed, Allah will bless it for him,
but whoever takes it with greed, Allah will not bless it for him, and he
will be like the one who eats but is never satisfied. And the upper
(giving) hand is better than the lower (taking) hand."

Narrated Sālih ibn Bashīr ibn Fudāyk (رضي الله عنه): Fudāyk (رضي الله عنه) came to the Messenger of Allāh (صلى الله عليه وسلم) and said, “O Messenger of Allāh, indeed they argue that whomever does not make Hijrah will be destroyed.” The Messenger of Allāh (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said, “O Fudāyk, establish prayer, avoid sins, and live in the land with your people whoever you wish.”

To Make The Heart Tender

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

I brought water to Uthman bin 'Affan to perform the ablution while he was
sitting on his seat. He performed the ablution in a perfect way and said,
"I saw the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) performing the ablution
in this place and he performed it in a perfect way and said, "Whoever
performs the ablution as I have done this time and then proceeds to the
mosque and offers a two-Rak'at prayer and then sits there (waiting for the
compulsory congregational prayers), then all his past sins will be
forgiven." The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) further added, "Do
not be conceited (thinking that your sins will be forgiven because of your
prayer)."

I seek refuge

Aisha reported (رضي الله عنها): One night I missed the Messenger of Allah from bed, and when I looked for him my hand touched his feet while he was in prostration. They were raised and he (صلى الله عليه وسلم) was saying, “O Allah, I seek refuge in Your pleasure from Your anger and in Your forgiveness from Your punishment, and I seek refuge in You from You. I cannot fully praise You. You are as you have praised Yourself.”
[Sahih Muslim, Book 4, Number 0986]

covenant

Sulaym ibn Amir, a man of Himyar, said: There was a peace treaty between Muawiyah and the Byzantines, and he was going towards their country, and when the covenant came to an end, he attacked them. A man came on a horse, or a packhorse saying, “Allah is Most Great! Allah is Most Great! Let there be faithfulness and not treachery!” And when they looked they found that he was Amr ibn Abasah. Muawiyah sent for him and questioned him (about that). He said: I heard the Messenger of Allahصلى الله عليه وسلم say: “When one has covenant with people he must not strengthen or loosen it till its term comes to an end or he brings it to an end in agreement with them (to make both the parties equal).” So Muawiyah returned.
